Odd but incredible dream

I had this bizarre dream last night that I was a young woman living in this gigantic old house. My mother was an evil woman who died not long before and the house belonged to me as a result; it was inherited. I was letting a couple of young men who were travelers stay there. It was a beautiful house; we were in the woods and there were vines and trees and flowers and fruits growing everywhere on the outside, as well as a courtyard. Some of the house servants like maids, valets etc. were setting up an outdoor service to be had in honor of my mother, and a few guests from the village below were coming to attend. I decided to go for a walk as things were prepared. As I was walking, I went off the normal path slightly, and I was shocked to find a massive rock embedded in the cliff nearby with my mother's face in it! Her hair was long green moss and waterfalls trickled down her face. She started yelling and screaming at me for having guests in the house she so long took care of, and suddenly I was transported INTO the house, with the two young men who were staying there standing nearby, surprised at my sudden arrival. I was in a long hallway that was painted red. Suddenly, my mother started screaming again, cursing me for letting these men in her home. Glyphs on the walls started to glow gold and I felt a strange pain shooting through me and making me claw the walls. The two young men tried to help me but it was too late. My mother laid a curse on me that was going to deteriorate the house and all around it and prevent me from ever being able to have children.

I don't remember much of what happened after this, but with the help of the two young men, who stayed with me for several years, we managed to find a loophole in the curse and break it because of that. I ended up falling in love with one of the guys and since we broke the curse I was able to have a kid. When I found out in the dream I was pregnant I was so happy and I started running around the entire area by where I lived. It was swampy from the curse but because the curse was broken it was starting to get better. While I was running I started singing! right loudly, and there was like an ORCHESTRA playing as I was singing. It was crazy. I know it sounds ridiculous but in the dream it didn't FEEL ridiculous. I wish I could remember the melody because it really sounded pretty incredible! I was singing about how I was grateful to my evil mother even though she did this, because it made me feel like a better person in the end . . . I wasn't bitter or resentful, I was just so happy that the curse was broken. Because the curse was broken, also, her presence was no longer manifest in the world around us. Either that or the curse was her final outpouring of any power she still had and her presence left then, I'm not sure which. Despite that, I was sure she could hear me singing.

I think the one I fell in love with was gifted with paranormal stuff . . . apparently I'd had a minor curse on my nose before and he had removed it and made it manifest in a vicious bunny hat that went around nibbling people's feet or something. That part was really strange. That was early on in the dream, around the point when people were setting up for the funeral service.

Curiouser and curiouser!

This dream was a rather long one. Really, it probably lasted about five minutes, but it felt like it lasted for hours.

The furthest back I can remember in the dream was that I and a group of several male friends (that I don't believe I actually know) were trying to get to another world or dimension, and we couldn't quite make it. We made it to a house between dimensions, though, and what a strange house it was. It was almost a tower, with seven floors total and long sets of stairs. It was a rather beautiful old house but it creeked somewhat menacingly due to the seven floors and being so tall and thin a tower. It was filled with mysteries.

We got up to the seventh and final floor, and we saw a few bedrooms and offices, all forgotten, and a bathroom at the end of the hall. By the door to the bathroom, there was a door built into the wall, as well as a large cabinet. I started opening the built-in door, and I was greeted with another, smaller door. I did this a few more times until the smallest door I found was there, and it was locked. I immediately started looking for a key, but I couldn't find one nearby, so I checked the dresser by the bathroom entrance, and I found two tiny bottles filled with a clear liquid. One said "drink me, I'll make you grow smaller", and the other said "eat me, I'll make you grow larger" (even though it was a bottle filled with liquid, hehe). I knew I wanted to be smaller, so I drank from the "drink me" bottle. It tasted really strange, like an energy drink only far more medicine-y. It wasn't a good taste. Anyway, I looked in the mirror and watched as I got a bit shorter, but not much. So, I drank the whole thing and only shrank to about four feet tall, and my voice sounded like I'd sucked helium. I was worried, though, because there wasn't any of the drink me elixir left and I couldn't find any more in the cabinet (I did find little cartridges of clear liquid lying around, but for some reason I thought they were rat or moth poison).

Suddenly I found myself on a train in the same between-worlds-world, as I was looking for more of the elixir. I couldn't find any and returned back to the tower.

I was searching the seventh floor of the tower and suddenly someone told a good lot of us (suddenly there were a lot of people and I don't know who they were) to stay in one room. This person went to rest in the bathroom; apparently he was tired and that was the only place he could find rest. I snuck out of the room he had placed us all in to search for more elixir. I looked in the cabinet in which I had originally found said elixir, and found a small keyring with a tiny skeleton key that looked as though it could open another small cabinet. There was a keychain that looked like a small eyepiece, and when I unfolded it, it turned into a woman's leg! I ended up searching the tower for the keyhole for this key, and slowly, the tower started turning into my grandmother's house. I had found the cabinet in another room, and it was in a dresser in a storage room. There was another key in there, which I took downstairs to what was now almost fully my grandmother's house, and into a sideroom which doesn't exist in her house. Apparently it had been my grandfather's (whom I have never met) room. The key unlocked a little nightstand full of little trinket's that had apparently belonged to my grandfather, including a letter from his sister and her husband, and a necklace he had owned as a child. Before I woke up, my father was there, and he told me that the room we were in would belong to me.

Before I woke up, there was a brief, fleeting remembrance that I had to find more of the drink me elixir, but I bet if I had gone up the stairs to go back to the tower, it would have been gone.

Stupid and violent dream

I don't know why, but when I post here it always seems like I post the bad dreams. I guess because they're the ones that stand out the most in my mind.

I was at some kind of party, absolutely packed with people. Mostly friends. For some reason, though, I was angry with most of them. I had a weapon on me that was small like a taser, but it had a cloaking device on and only I could see it. It fired like a machine gun, only silent. So I walked around the room and was shooting EVERYTHING in sight, including people. I'd have to shoot people five or so times before they died, though. So people were dropping like flies all around the room and things were shattering. I started to feel bad, though. One of the guys pulled out a gun and said "All right, who's doing this?" I felt a bit guilty, so I raised my hand. He shot me in the head immediately. Then I woke up.

Ghost

I had a dream last night that I was in university, but my university was far, far different than it is now. There were two very large main buildings, and a huge beach and body of water in between them, with a few shacks and oddities on the way, as well as cliffs surrounding.

I was with a couple of friends and we were walking to classes. One of them had a class in one of the old shacks along the way, so I dropped her off and kept going. I got to my class and realised I wasn't feeling very well, so I went to leave and I was sick, spitting up blood and other loveliness. I went back into the classroom and noticed no one was paying much attention to me, except the teacher, who told the students that there WAS someone sitting in my seat and that it was me and I had died. I suddenly started to panic and looked out the classroom to see my boyfriend walking to another class. I ran out and followed him, hoping he would be able to see me as well. He was walking down the beach and to the other building. I followed him into the second building and called after him, but he couldn't hear me. I suddenly grew very sad because I knew he wouldn't be able to see or hear me, and I knew that even if he could, nothing would be done about it because he wouldn't be able to touch me or hug me. I stood on the staircase for a moment, letting people walk through me, when suddenly one of my waking university friends, Felipe, was there.

"Hey Katie, how are you?" he asked.
"Awful, I'm dead," I replied.
"Ahhh, no big deal. Let me buy you lunch," he said.
"I don't need lunch. I'm dead."
"Well, at least let me buy you some vanilla pudding. EVERYONE needs vanilla pudding." Which was strangely characteristic of him to say regardless.

So, Felipe and I went down to the cafeteria, where I thought about how I needed to find Mom and tell her. She is a prof at the university I go to in waking-life, so she was in the dream as well. I saw her across the cafeteria waving to me, but then I turned to look at her and walked toward her, and she frowned. She could tell something was up. To demonstrate this, I walked right through a table and she paled.
"Oh no," she said, "you're dead."
I showed her that there were some items I could interact with, for some reason. I could touch the couch and a nearby table but I couldn't touch people or the other table that I had walked through. It was strange. Mom was, as you can imagine, very upset and talking about it out loud. A few people figured out what was going on and started singing "Happy Death-day to you" (to the obvious tune of happy birthday), then woke up, very thankful that it was only a dream.

On an interesting note, in another dream in which I died, my mother was able to see me then, too. I don't have these dreams very often but they're very vivid when I do, and in both of them Mom was able to see me.

Horrible dream!

This dream was just awful! I don't know how it got in my head, but here it goes.

It started that I was back in high school, and there was a new program implemented that allowed suicidal students to be legally executed. I had done something really stupid, like dropped my keys or lost them or something, and I was REALLY angry with myself, so I decided to sign up to get myself executed (!). As that day was drawing to a close, I began to realise what I had actually done. I was going to DIE. After that, I literally would not be living anymore. So, I was obviously terrified. I went to school reluctantly the next day.

A girl approached me and the first thing she said was "Hey, I heard you're getting executed today. Do you want me to be your shooter?" because in this, if we wanted to be executed we had to have either someone to shoot us or we had to hire a firing squad, though the condition with the one-person shoot was that that person had to be shot, too. I said "I guess, but I don't really think I want to go through with this now . . . I mean, I don't want to die!". A boy overheard us and said to MY shooter, "I'm going to be executed today, too. I'll be your shooter." So before I could mark my name off the list or tell someone I had made a mistake, a man came into the classroom with a rifle and handed it to the girl. She aimed it at me to shoot, but just as she fired I dodged out of the way. The bullet hit the girl beside me in the arm, and she went ballistic and pulled out a machine gun (!!) and sprayed bullets around the classroom, killing the boy from before. I ran away from the room and behind a counter, where another student was kiding. She told me to get away and to hide somewhere else because this was her counter, but I just moved away and she was content.

When I saw the first opportunity to do so, I ran for it and went to the nearest payphone. A boy was following me as well. I dialled 911 quickly and shouted "Help! There has been a shooting in my school! I'm at (the name of the) school. One person's already been killed! HELP!" I then bolted out of there and went outside where the buses usually were. Everyone thanked me for dialling 911, but I wasn't so sure. "It was my fault, though," I said. "I should never have signed up." Then, ambulances, police cars, firetrucks and several flatbed trucks with dogs in them came to take us to a safer place.

Horrible! I should note that the girl with the rifle, the boy who was to shoot her and the girl behind the counter were all people I know from my waking life. That made the dream even more haunting.

Destruction of a community.

Here is a very frightening dream I had last night.

I was at home. Mind you, this wasn't my REAL home, but a place I knew in my dream to be home. I was lying down, looking out into the other room at my family, which consisted of my parents, a great aunt and uncle, a brother, and my boyfriend, Brad. Suddenly, the whole place started to shake with a terrible tremor. Everyone was screaming and things were falling and breaking. After a few moments it ended, but it started up again not long after. This went on four times, until the house around us was nearly ruined. We looked out our window, and the bridge that linked the community to the outside was completely destroyed, so we had no way out.

Suddenly, I could see OUT of the house and to other things being discussed. Prime Minister Stephen Harper was ordering the demolition of any way in or out of the community I lived because the community wouldn't agree to one of his offers of some sort, or wouldn't comply to one of his requests, or possibly because we were a small community and simply cost too much money for the small amount of people living there. All of the weather reports were saying odd and different things about the area we were living in, such as it was an extended earthquake, or a storm gone awry. Nothing was adding up.

I got to see a group of people discussing the conspiracy and how it was and was not likely. They were conspiracy theorists, but they were mostly kids, and they were a group called "I Will Not". They were making a commercial about the small town scandal, talking about how wrong it was and showing images of a water research facility the government had wanted to use for something but the town had refused. They were talking about this and the theories behind why Harper had planted demolition of a small community. Right before I woke up, I heard the music crescendo to a climax and the group of young people saying loudly "I WILL NOT!".

And then I woke up.

What a horrible nightmare.

I really can't get this out of my head. I don't want to interpret it right now because it bothers me so much, but here's the dream.

First dream, I was in a department store, totally naked. It had started with someone's house, then it morphed into a department store, then a schoolbus. I had managed to get my shirt on but I was completely naked from the waist down. I managed to put a sweater over my lap to hide anything, but I was sitting beside a couple of perverted boys who not only wanted me to take the sweater off, but they wanted to do things. It was disgusting and frightening all at once, because then even the busdriver was on their side, and he was mocking me through the window. I managed to put my pants on and get off the bus before anything happened, but it was scary.

This was the really horrible one, though.

It was an average day at university. I was walking with a friend (who actually doesn't go to the university I do) and telling her about my plans for the next two years. We started walking down the stairs when we suddenly heard that someone had a gun. A few of the people on the stairs were screaming and falling and getting shot. I suddenly got shot as well, and died. After my death I heard that the girl with the gun had killed herself. I looked over at her and saw her ghost approaching me with a smile on her face. I asked her what she had done and why, and she shrugged and said she was dealing with something but it was better now (though we were all DEAD). My Mom was nearby (alive, but she could communicate with us for some reason), and she started sighing and saying how she was glad that we understood that death is the first step and heaven was the next; she was sick of people saying they couldn't wait until they experienced the feeling of going straight up to heaven. So we, the deadies, were moping about while Mom made phone calls. I was upset and wanted to live because someone had taken my life away. Somehow, the girl had done this (and committed suicide) before. Mom talked to the girl's church and they wouldn't hold a service for her because of the way she died. A living woman gave me a drag of her cigarette, which tasted like tomatoes and pepper and garlic and lime, and asked me if it tasted like the beach.

The end is weird, but the fact is that it was a horrible premise, and it felt real.
